It is done!

Rather than pretending to be insightful or clever, I just wanted to post a celebratory sort of thing:

Last night, for the first time for my guild, we downed Yogg25. It wasn't a hard mode, it wasn't a semi hard mode. It was Yogg with all of the Keepers helping us out.

Depending on how "hardcore" you consider yourself, this may not seem all that impressive to you. For me, however, this means a (potential?) end to having to go play in Yogg's puddles and run away from his foul clouds twice a week every week.

This is very exciting for me.

I should say that I really don't mind the Yogg fight much, since it's very different from many other fights for me. Sure, there's a lot of "Stay out of the bad stuff! Run away from the other bad stuff! HEAL!" but the way the fight is set up it feels fresh and unique. Also. dispelling plays a large role. Larger than you'd think - but apparently having more DPS plays an even bigger role: more DPS doing their jobs properly means there's much, much, MUCH less that healers need to dispel, which means that much more healing available to the raid as a whole.


Also, if you're on Phase 3 and the raid is mostly holding it together but still dribbling over the edges doing dumb stuff, go ahead and pull out an Army of the Dead and see how the adds go absolutely insane and make it impossible for tanks to grab aggro -- for whatever reason, it got our people to pull their thumbs out of their navels and get serious. XD (Honestly, on the one hand I feel bad for the guy who did it and he felt horrible for what looked like was about to happen, but it actually worked out pretty well for us, so I'm thinking it might have been a good thing in the end)

So - Hurray TDC! Well done! Let's stop going back every week for the only fight available to us in Uld! (I don't want to think of Alg just yet, thank you very much)
