All I Wanted was a Beta Invite

Clearly, the MOP beta is here. I've been crawling over MMO-C's front page for the last few days (skipping that which did not interest me, naturally) and skimming the forums of both the official WoW site as well as MMO-C.

Eventually, the whining about Annual Pass subscribers not all getting into wave 1 beta invites got to me, and reminded me of a certain song... So I've taken the liberty to edit some of the lyrics to fit the situation. (which I'll take down if asked but... really, how many people are even going to find this? it's not even going to be good!)

Anyway. Here's what goes through my mind now each time I read a post by an AP subscriber who's very vocally unhappy they didn't get into wave 1:

I was on my computer and I was just like staring at the forum thinking about everything, but then again I was thinking about nothing. And then my GM logged into vent, and I didn't even know he was there. He called my name and I didn't hear him and then he started screaming “Chewie, Chewie!” And I go “What? What's the matter?” He goes “What's the matter with you?” I go “there's nothing wrong, man.” He's all “Don't tell me that! You're in SWTOR!” I go “No man, I'm not in SWTOR. I'm ok, I'm just thinking, you know? Why don't you get me a Beta invite?” He goes “No! You're in SWTOR!” I go “Dude, I'm ok. I'm just thinking.” He goes “No! You're not thinking, you're in SWTOR! Normal people don't be acting that way!” I go “Dude, just get me a Beta invite! Please, all I want is a Beta invite!” And he wouldn't give it to me! All I wanted was a Beta invite, just one Beta invite, and he wouldn't give it to me! Just a Beta invite!

Tied around your back, you're treated like thieves!
Drug you up because they're lazy!
It's too much work to help a crazy!

They stuck me in the no Beta club,
Said it wouldn't be too bad a rub,
To give me the needed professional help, to protect me from the enemy, myself.

And now I want a Pepsi. *sighs*
