I'm still working on gathering the pet from the Ahune encounter, and on nights when I've yet to try for the satchel it might come in I wind up needing to PUG for it. So I use the Dungeon Finder tool and wait for my turn in line.
Over all, my experience with the Ahune PUGs has been pretty positive. No one's been a raging ass.
Tonight, however, I was flabbergasted. I thought I'd share with you.

We entered the dungeon, a gathering of complete strangers. We're nearly silent. Someone begins the encounter before I'd had a chance to take a look at my tank's health (no matter, usually). The big elemental pops out, it wanders a bit for a moment, then settles upon the tank after 12 seconds (according to my log).
He then proceeds to get whomped for 36k, then 35k. I'm thinking, "Oh crap," because the rest of the group had taken a bit of damage from the elemental before the tank managed to get its attention. I got PoM on him, and a PW:S, and he goes down within 3.2 seconds of the first damage taken.
I'm baffled.
Suddenly, the Dungeon Finder pops up a window - a group member has left the game, would we like to find a replacement? Why yes, yes I would. And now I'm pissed, because it looks like an undergeared tank queued for Ahune and then /quit within moments of beginning the fight.
Oddly enough, we get through the fight (more cleanly than the fight I participate in next, which involves an actual tank - the DF got us another tank, but not until Ahune was down, so I stuck around to help him get his loot bag).
Afterward, I look him up on the Armory, and look at my logs.
The Armory claims that he's cleared ICC. He participated in a run where all of the bosses were killed, and a bunch of achieves were managed on the same date in January of 2011. He appears to have completed 3 Cataclysm dungeons - Heroic SFK, Heroic Deadmines, and Heroic Blackrock Caverns.
Which means he hasn't even got gear from normal runs on dungeons. (he has 2 Frost specs, at later inspection, although clearly he had a Blood spec for the short while I was originally looking him over - guess it didn't "feel right.") He's got quite a lot of Resilience gear to knock him into Heroic ranking, though.
I hope his DPS makes a dent, for his future groups' sakes.
